You don't need to be the executor to use Sedare. Spouses, children, attorneys, and estate agents all use Sedare to handle notification paperwork. The letters can be addressed from whoever is managing the estate.

We use an AI vision model that reads the certificate the way a trained reviewer would — understanding spatial layout, handwriting variations, and state-specific formats. Extracted data is validated against 40+ rules before you see it.

What file formats do you accept?

Sedare accepts PDF, JPG, and PNG files. Scanned documents, photographs, and digital certificates all work. The cleaner the scan, the higher the accuracy — but our model handles degraded and handwritten certificates too.

Can I edit the generated letters?

Yes. All letters are downloaded as DOCX files, which you can open and edit in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or any word processor. PDF versions are also included for printing and mailing.

Sedare currently covers 14 U.S. states including California, Florida, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. We're expanding to all 50 states over the coming months. If your state isn't supported yet, email brand@sedare.ai and we'll prioritize it.

Sedare generates letters for 30+ institution types across four categories: Government agencies (SSA, IRS, VA, DMV, Medicare, Passport Office), Financial institutions (banks, credit unions, investment accounts, retirement accounts, credit card companies), Insurance providers (life, health, auto, home), and Service providers (utilities, phone, cable, subscriptions).

Is my data secure?

Yes. Certificate data is encrypted in transit with TLS and is processed in memory — it is never written to permanent storage. We do not sell or share your information with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What happens if the AI makes a mistake?

Every extracted field receives a confidence score. Fields below 90% are automatically flagged with a yellow badge and presented for your review before we generate any letters. You can correct any field before proceeding. We catch roughly 90.7% of potential errors through this review step.

How is Sedare different from hiring an estate attorney?

Estate attorneys typically charge $3,000–$10,000 for estate administration and can take months. Sedare costs $49 and takes 5 minutes — for the notification letter generation step. Sedare doesn't replace an attorney for legal matters like probate or will contests, but it eliminates the hundreds of hours of administrative paperwork that doesn't require legal expertise.
