Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sedare platform, operated by Shado Ventures ("we," "us," or "Sedare"). By using Sedare, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Sedare does

Sedare uses AI to extract structured data from death certificate images and generate institution-specific notification letters. The service is designed to assist families with the administrative side of estate settlement — not to replace legal advice or professional estate administration.

All AI-generated output requires human review before you send it to any institution. Sedare is a productivity tool, not a substitute for your judgment.

Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using Sedare — uploading a certificate, generating letters, or submitting any form — you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you are using Sedare on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Acceptable use

Sedare is intended for personal estate administration. You may use Sedare to help settle the estate of a deceased individual for whom you have authority (as a family member, executor, or legal representative).

You may not:

• —Resell or redistribute Sedare's output as a commercial service without a written partner agreement
• —Upload documents you do not have authorization to process
• —Use the service to create fraudulent or misleading documents
• —Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service

Accuracy and AI limitations

Sedare's AI extraction achieves high accuracy on well-scanned certificates from supported U.S. states, but it is not perfect. Extracted fields may contain errors, especially on damaged, handwritten, or older documents.

Sedare's output is not legal advice. Before sending any letter to a government agency, financial institution, or other organization, you are responsible for reviewing the letter for accuracy and confirming it is appropriate for your situation. Sedare is a productivity tool that drafts letters — you are responsible for what you send.

We cannot guarantee that any institution will accept a letter generated by Sedare. Requirements vary by institution, and some may require additional forms, notarization, or documentation beyond what Sedare provides.

Data handling

Your use of Sedare is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Sedare, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

Sedare is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that extracted data will be accurate in every case.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shado Ventures shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of Sedare — including (without limitation) damages arising from errors in AI-generated output, institutional rejection of letters, or unauthorized access to your data.

Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use Sedare in the 30 days preceding the claim.

Intellectual property

Sedare's software, letter templates, and interface design are owned by Shado Ventures. You retain ownership of the documents you upload and the letters you download. We do not claim any rights to your generated letters.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sedare after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
